Singapore Day in Madrid

If you have followed my blog, you know that I have been to London in March to attend the Singapore Day organised by the Overseas Singaporean unit. And I also shared that we did not get to enjoyed the food as the queue was terribly long and it turn us off from queuing.

With the Singaporean group in Madrid, we decided to have our very own Singapore Day in Madrid. We were very lucky to hold this gathering at Cesar's parent house. Cesar is a Spanish who marry Shela, a Singaporean girl. Cesar claimed that he is 40% Singaporean, he can speaks Singlish better than the rest of the Singaporeans here.

Both of them put in a lot of effort in decorating the place even the paper napkins and plates are all in red and white. We have Shervon who made us satays and stingy ray, Calvin got us taiwan sausages and prima taste satay sauce from Singapore. My mother-in-law was here and she made 'kong bak' (dark soya sauce meat) before she left to the airport, also Jessica prepared the Singapore style bee hoon. And of course some Spanish food too. It was a great catch up and the bond between us gets stronger too.
