El Rastro (open air flea market)

On Sunday, most of the shops are closed in madrid and it's a good day to spend your morning at the El Rastro flea market. It is open on every Sunday morning till early afternoon. The nearest metro is La Latina.

The main streets sell mainly clothing, decorative items, leather goods and many more. But I personally like the side streets that sell new and used items as well as antique shops. After the long morning walk, its great to take a beer break along La Latina.
